This is gross.
It also is why I think all the USCJ discussion on this list is so important.
Many people probably agree that this is disgusting because of their secular or even vaguely Judeo-Christian conscience.
The Conservative Movement is unique in that you can beleive in God and Torah and halakhah and still come up with different conclusions, whether about womens right or gay marriage or organ donation or how exactly services are conducted on Shabbat. I think this is an idea that should be spread in the marketplace of ideas and I'd like to support an institution that will do so.
Apparently the USCJ isn't interested in the job, but then I still don't know who represents me as a layperson beyond the local level.
