We're proud, as a founding member of Keshet Rabbis, the website created to give voice to LGBT friendly Conservative rabbis, and as the Executive Director of Keshet,a national grassroots organization that works for the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Jews in Jewish life, to share with you an exciting change.
In a few weeks, Keshet Rabbis will expand to become the Equality Guide, an online user-friendly database for LGBT Jews to locate and connect with inclusive clergy and institutions across the country.
With your participation, the Equality Guide will help LGBT Jews and their loved ones find Jewish community and connection – rabbis, cantors, synagogues, day schools, camps, Hillels – Jewish leaders and institutions that are proud to be inclusive of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Jews.
An online database for inclusive rabbis and institutions is a dramatic marker of the progress our community has made. We look forward to the day when inclusion and equality are norms in Jewish life and this guide is no longer needed.
