Background Checks on Guns
Rep. Peter King is sponsoring HR 1565 in the US House of Representatives on background checks for gun purchases. Check this list to see if your member of Congress has co-sponsored.
Faiths United Again Gun Violence, of which the RA is a founding member, is asking all of its member groups to contact their representatives and either urge them to cosponsor or thank them for cosponsoring. We expect to have an additional dozen cosponsors in the next few days.
Take Action Gun violence and Mental Illness
The interfaith disabilities coalition (IDAC), of which the RA is a member, launched the Grounded in Faith: Resources on Mental Health and Gun Violence report, a resource with information concerning the on-going debate around gun violence and mental health issues.
